Descliption of  Bato Kannon

Originally	There is an opinion of the origin in fleet horse of king somthing it comes out to the ancient sacred book "the rig Veda" of India. This kannon has the horse-head on his head so that he was named after that.in Sanskrit, Hayagriva. He is considered to have jurisdiction of the "realm of animals" (one of the six realms("Rokudo") of existence).this deity came to be worshiped as God for livestock, other animals and then a safe trip. the repose of animal's soul
Faith	Bato Kannon image was introduced to Japan around the 6-7th century.Bato Kannon image was deified in Daian-ji Temple in Nara, and Kannonji Temple in Fukuoka in the 8th century, and the horse was precious at that time, and since it began to have borrowed from a battle, Bato Kannon-faith prospered in the samurai society of the Kamakura period,the medieval times of Japan. This Kannon image is put on a way side, as a bodhisattva who protects the guardian deity of livestock, and the safety of the trip , and it comes, and folk-religion-izes at the Edo period.
Form	The three faces and 6-armed images are common.
Sex of  Kannon	Male .God of great mercy and compassion,not Goddess, for according to Buddhist teachings,Buddha always calls to kannon "a great gentleman".
